BUCKINGHAMSHIRE LOCAL PLAN – HAVE YOUR SAY BEFORE 11:59PM SUNDAY 6 SEPTEMBER
Berryfields Parish Council is preparing a further objection to the Regulation 19 Draft Local Plan for Buckinghamshire.
Of particular concern is Policy AYL06 – Land to the North of Martin Dalby Way, which proposes an assumed 3,150 new homes immediately north of Martin Dalby Way.
The Parish Council previously raised concerns about development in this area and many of those concerns remain.
These include:
• Pressure on the A413, Martin Dalby Way and the wider road network
• Lack of clearly identified additional secondary-school provision
• Pressure on GP, healthcare and hospital services
• Lack of clearly identified cemetery/burial provision
• Flood risk and drainage
• Loss of countryside and agricultural land
• Impact on the Weedon Ridge and the landscape north of Aylesbury
• Loss of separation between existing communities
• The cumulative impact of continued large-scale development around Berryfields, Buckingham Park, Watermead and neighbouring communities
The Regulation 19 consultation is an important opportunity for residents to make their own representations before the Local Plan proceeds to independent examination.
The deadline is 11:59pm on Sunday 6 September 2026.
We strongly encourage residents who have concerns about the proposals to respond.
Please use your own words and explain the issues that matter to you. Local knowledge and personal experience of matters such as traffic, schools, healthcare, drainage and local infrastructure are particularly valuable.
